Depression: A Poem

At first, it crawls up your spine,

like a bone-chilling breeze.

Then, it crashes over your head,

a tidal wave made of bricks,

it snaps your neck.

Leaves you broken and bleeding.

But not dead.

Not yet.

There are people all around,

it’s just a normal day.

They can’t see the devastation,

they can’t see the wreck.

You don’t look any different,

your just the same.

It seems.

I wrote this last year but I felt like sharing it today because why not?

Prepare yerselves fer some emotional poetry!

I hope y’all are well and are having a lovely night, morning, day and evening! 🙂
